8 New Directions For WWE After Money In The Bank 2026

3. Penta Teasing Cash-Ins Aplenty

One can see ‘Mr. MITB’ Penta teasing cash-ins on both Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns over the next couple of months. Looking at things on paper, it actually seems more plausible that the masked man could dethrone Zayn, but maybe WWE will want to reward him for that match with Roman in Mexico City by putting him over the top star in the biz.

Either way, Penta’s star is rising.

Michael Cole laid it all out in New Orleans. WWE's lead announcer noted that Penta has been gaining popularity steadily since joining the company in early-2025. There's a bit of TV land revisionism about that statement, but it isn't totally wide of the mark. No, Penta hasn't been climbing the ranks month by month without interruptions, but he has been on the precipice of immense popularity for a while now.

People gravitate towards him, and there's a good reason for that. Inside the ring, few can argue against pushing the guy. On promos, he's serviceable. His look and presentation? Flawless. That, combined with his in-ring skills, should make a main event push workable. It's highly unlikely that Triple H will book a failed Money In The Bank cash-in, put it that way.

Penta won't be Baron Corbin'd or Damien Sandow'd. Perish the thought. It'd make him look like a million bucks if he cashed in on Roman for sure, but something about Sami being WWE Champ stands out here. A move to SmackDown and a feud against the conspiracy theorist may well be in the pipeline.
