Crown Jewel and the annual pretence that those bespoke championships for the men and women mean a thing will grip WWE's product for the next month or so. 'Champion vs. Champion' matches are incoming, which (at time of writing) means we're getting Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green and Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn.

A tear just trickled down the faces of those who remember the magic of Sami's sudden Bloodline integration from 2022-2023. That story grew arms and legs organically, and it led to a fantastically-heated title showdown between Sami and Roman at Elimination Chamber 2023. Next month, we could well be seeing a follow up.

It’s all pointing that way, and the Crown Jewel Title matches are glorified exhibitions anyway. Last year, WWE took the party to Australia, but they'll be back in Saudi Arabia unless something dramatic in the real world alters plans. They can still pop Reigns vs. Zayn in front of a live crowd and bank on a hot atmosphere even if they have to pivot and hastily arrange a card on home soil rather than flying to Riyadh as planned though.

Crown Jewel in Lowell, Massachusetts doesn't sound as flashy, international or exotic, but it'd still be a fun trip once the bell sounds. Don't be shocked if there are all manner of Bloodline throwback references about "feeling ucey" on television over the coming weeks. Some brilliant promos from Sami about being a multi-time WWE Champion since he last faced Reigns will help matters too.

This seems like a given.
