8 New Directions For WWE After Money In The Bank 2026
1. Then…WarGames!
It's time to admit something no-one wanted to talk about in 2022: Triple H was full of it when he claimed 4 years ago that WWE wouldn't book around a calendar the same way Vince McMahon had during his dotage as head of creative. That's exactly what the company does in 2026. It might not be as aggressive a strategy as McMahon deployed, but it's definitely a thing.
Fans accept the Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank and maybe even Elimination Chamber as spot shows designed around a gimmick, but we've got a run of sequential PLEs effectively hinging on one idea here. MITB just happened, Crown Jewel and that aforementioned pretence it's important is on the way, then it's Survivor Series: WarGames.
On Saturday, Royce Keys and his 946 troops brawled with The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and The Usos. Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu are involved in that story too, and it seems locked in that both squads will hit the double cage for the now-annual WarGames festivities.
Yeah, 'The Game' was talking trash back in 2022 after all.
The big puzzler could be who Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima get as partners for the big set piece gimmick bout. Jaida Parker? Nah. They'd need to enlist a few new members, unless WWE plans to go 3v3 at WarGames as a twist.
