8 New Records Set At WWE Royal Rumble 2022

1. Biggest Gap Between Rumble Wins

Nine men have won more than one Royal Rumble, with three (Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin) winning in back-to-back years. The rest of the field had a gap of at least a couple years between their victories.

Last year, Edge won his second Rumble 11 years after winning his first, but that wasn’t close to the record, which belonged to Triple H, who won in 2002 and then again 14 years later in 2016.

However, Brock Lesnar shattered that record Saturday night when he won his second Rumble 19 years after his first in 2003. That is an insane gap that could only be topped if Michaels, Austin or The Rock entered next year and won, or if Rey Mysterio wins the 2026 Rumble.

It’s crazy to think that in-between Lesnar’s victories, John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton and Edge each won twice. Dolph Ziggler entered 14 Rumbles between those wins (and entered his 15th Saturday). Beth Phoenix, the Bella Twins and the Great Khali has Hall-of-Fame careers during that window.

So yeah, add this to a list of records that might never be broken. Brock is just out here making history every day.
