8 Non-Wrestlers Who Were Wrestling Champions

3. Vince McMahon - ECW & WWE Champion

Like Bischoff, the World Wrestling Federation€™s evil figurehead, Vince McMahon, found himself in possession of championship gold. However, Vince took it a step or two further, holding two separate some eight years apart. Furthermore, McMahon won the 1999 Royal Rumble, albeit with a great deal of assistance from his Corporation stable. However, we€™re here to discuss his championship reigns. McMahon€™s first title reign came in 1999. On the September 16th edition of Smackdown, Vince did battle with his future son-in-law Triple H for the WWF Championship. To the shock of everyone, McMahon -- who was actually a more sympathetic figure at the time -- defeated Triple H, albeit with the aid of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Vince had become the WWF Champion in a shocking turn of events, but would forfeit the title on the following week€™s Raw is War broadcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa2lUwwTa8U However, Vince€™s championship legacy doesn€™t end there. In 2007, at the Backlash PPV, McMahon teamed with his son, Shane and the monstrous Umaga against the ECW Champion, Bobby Lashley. Thanks to the help of Umaga and Shane, Vince was able to defeat Lashley and win the title. This time, however, McMahon would hold the ECW Championship for a little over a month, before losing it back to Lashley in a street fight at the 2007 One Night Stand PPV.
