8 Predictions For WWE's UK Tournament Finals Night 2

4. Trent Triumphs As Moustache Mountain Collide

If our other predictions ring true, the night’s first semi-final contest should see two tag team partners collide. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate have been teaming as Moustache Mountain since 2015, and they’ve found a great deal of success around the world. The duo currently hold both the CHIKARA and PROGRESS Tag Team Championships, and while they play a set of cutthroat villains in PROGRESS, they’re fun, handshaking, old-school babyfaces everywhere else.

Given the characters we’ve seen Bate and Seven play thus far, this will likely stay friendly, but it’ll definitely be spirited. Despite their friendship, Bate and Seven are both out to win this thing, and they’ll hold nothing back against each other. Their chemistry should see this stand out as one of the night’s best matches, and they’ll have the crowd in the palm of their hands throughout.

Look for the more experienced Trent Seven to win, and for Tyler Bate to become this tournament’s Cedric Alexander in defeat. Just as Alexander became a hero by putting up a spirited performance against Kota Ibushi in the Cruiserweight Classic, Bate should do the same here. Tyler has plenty of years left to fulfil his potential and find success, but for the 35-year-old Seven, it’s now or never. This should give him the impetus to defeat his young partner and reach the finals.
