8 Questions That WWE Fans Will Inevitably Ask Themselves
4. Why Is Their Music Ready To Go?
This question seems to be particularly grating for grouchy old timers because it's such a new trend. I have taken a few hiatuses from wrestling over the years, and when I came back to WWE a few years ago after quite a long absence, the change in how a WWE character was introduced 'unexpectedly' was really noticeable and a bit of a shock. For some reason, as soon as somebody does some sort of run-in or causes an interruption, their music is cued up and ready to go at exactly the right time. And like all of you reading this, this made me ask the inevitable question of 'how it is that we are supposed to believe that the music is always ready'? I mean, what exactly are the logistics behind planning your music to coincide with your run-in? It seems like syncing music with on-screen action for live TV must surely require a little bit of planning? To be fair, I should admit that I am actually not all that offended by this. I have heard and seen plenty of older folk gripe about how phony this makes everything look - but considering how fake WWE looks today, the timing of entrance music is the least of their worries. It can add a bit of drama, and if the music is as iconic as something like Brock Lesnars it gets the crowd pumped straight away, which helps the product on TV too. But still you got to wonder, is that cheap pop really worth having every wrestling fan in the world asking this exact question every time it happens? It doesnt exactly keep us in the moment, does it?
