8 Real WWE Fights That Surpassed Anything You Saw In The Ring

2. Arn Anderson Vs. Sid Vicious

In what amounted more to a Benny Hill sketch than an actual physical encounter, this confrontation is one of the most infamous to come out of the 90s. Legend has it that while out having a few (dozen) drinks with the boys, Sid Vicious made a comment, loudly, about Ric Flair being a washed-up old man. This type of ageism didn't sit well with a fellow "elder statesman" and 4 Horseman alumnus Arn Anderson. Some words were exchanged--some alleging that Anderson told Sid he wasn't Horsemen material, while others say Sid attacked Anderson's ability to draw money--and then things went haywire.

There was a chair involved, and a broken beer bottle, and probably a whole lot of posturing. Things simmered down briefly, until later that night when Sid went into Arn's hotel room looking to continue the fight. Though reports vary wildly about what lead up to this point, everyone seems to agree on one thing: A scissors was introduced early on in the melee.

After some back-and-forth, each man struggling to get control of the sharp weapon, both would end up being stabbed several times. They both had to be rushed to the hospital after the fight was eventually broken up by 2 Cold Scorpio. Anderson, in particular, lost a lot of blood that night. Sid lost some blood too, but also his job with WWE.
