5. The Shield vs Team Hell No & Kofi Kingston - Monday Night Raw, May 20th 2013
WWE.comThe Shield are another entity that could fill this entire list on their own and you could feasibly choose any of 5 or 6 of their matches to justify being on this list (there's one more to come later) but I've selected this 20+ minute roller-coaster from Raw last year for a couple of reasons: one, it promotes the idea that superb matches don't just occur on the monthly PPVs but on the weekly shows too and two, Daniel Bryan was ridiculously good in this match, both on offence and defence. This match, whilst not as prolific as their bouts against The Wyatt Family or the TLC 2012 match with Ryback instead of Kingston, features The Shield at the height of their heel run- they were still undefeated at this point- and the efforts of these 6 men were recognised by WWE themselves when they awarded this match the top spot on
their own list of the top Raw matches since the show went to 3 hours in 2012. Getting over newer talent is just as important for a fan defending the product as it is for WWE themselves in promoting it. With the exception of Kane, everyone in this match is a talent that would be unbeknownst to a new fan or an older one from the Attitude Era who's taking another look. That's why you wont see Undertaker matches on this list- it's important to show that wrestling has moved on.
