8 Reasons Brock Lesnar Must Retire The Undertaker At WWE Hell In A Cell

4. It Would Get People Talking

It's no secret that the WWE is going through something of a ratings crisis as of right now, and so getting people talking about the product again would be no bad thing. Like John Cena, Hulk Hogan (unfortunately), and The Rock, The Undertaker is a name that people who have never even watched wrestling are familiar with, and Lesnar bringing his career to an end at Hell in a Cell would generate a huge amount of buzz. With that comes mainstream media attention, and you have to believe that those who have given up watching Raw every Monday would be tuning in the night after Hell in a Cell to see the fallout from Lesnar bringing the Deadman's historic run to an end. Wrapping up a man's career to try and sort their rating woes may seem like a drastic move on WWE's part, but as they creep nearer and nearer to dropping under that three million viewers mark, they're no doubt willing to try anything and everything at this stage. And look, even if Lesnar does "retire" The Undertaker, it wouldn't necessarily be the end. Plenty of wrestlers have retired only to return for one more match, and Taker could do the exact same thing at some point in the next couple of years if he decided that he wanted a proper farewell. However, having The Beast destroy him in Hell in a Cell and his victory being billed as the end of the Phenom's career would create major waves.
