8 Reasons To Check Out See No Evil 2 This Halloween
7. Danielle Harris
Danielle Harris has been evading and escaping slashers since she was a child, making her a veteran of the horror genre. In See No Evil 2, she not only lends credibility in name alone, she elevates the material with her performance. She is strong, intelligent and a natural leader throughout and not once is it ever unbelievable that she could conceivably defeat the monster. As Amy, she fills the role of traditional "final girl" to perfection, channeling years of experience with that character type into her performance. As a viewer, you legitimately care about Amy. In any slasher movie, in which bodies pile up and the killer is the centerpiece of the film, having a hero or heroine that somehow manages to strike a chord with audiences is what helps the film excel past the normal schlock that the sub-genre produced in the 1980s and early '90s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPZLi_6lKpw That she is so recognizable to horror fans only helps bring a sense of respectability to the film. Fans trust her, they trust her judgement and are more likely to take the time to watch something she is in, thanks to her impressive resume in the business. Her name along undoubtedly brought more eyes to the film and will be, at the very least, a small part of the overall success it enjoys will be attributed to her presence alone.
