8 Reasons To Check Out See No Evil 2 This Halloween
3. The Killer
Perhaps his years as the demented and deranged Kane in WWE prepared Glenn Jacobs adequately for his role as Jacob Goodnight but the performer has such on-screen presence and carries himself in such a way that fans believe he is, legitimately, a hulking killer. He stalks down the halls, explodes through doors and manhandles his victims with such ease that it is impossible to look away. He completely fits the character because fans of professional wrestling have watched him master the craft as the Big Red Monster for nearly two decades in Vince McMahon's sports-entertainment empire. Everything from the way he puts on the mask to the few facial expressions viewers are privy to and the mannerisms he uses when chasing after Amy and company were honed on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeGzIh_9gFI The backstory, though less contrived than the original, is intact. Goodnight is very much the result of a tortured soul, haunted by an abusive upbringing, an overly religious mother and a lack of human interaction, and that contributes mightily to his murderous rampages. Left for dead by the one woman he ever showed mercy to, thanks for an emotional connect he made with her in the original, Goodnight finally grasps the depraved teachings of his mother and sets out to kill, unleashing hell and death, just as mommy instructed.
