8 Reasons Finn Balor Will Be WWE's Best NXT Call-Up

6. The Club

Rumours of a Bullet Club reunion have followed Balor, Styles, Gallows, and Anderson around since the latter trio signed for WWE back in January. The Club didn’t truly start taking shape until April, however, when Gallows and Anderson debuted to attack The Usos and play unwanted allies in AJ’s ongoing struggles with Roman Reigns. The group have long-since buried that uneasiness and moved-on to a feud with John Cena and Enzo & Big Cass, and it would be very easy for WWE to slot Balor in at the heart of this story.

WWE can play it in a number of ways. The most obvious is to have Balor debut as the group’s ally, given his pre-existing relationship with Gallows and Anderson, but given that he’s been working as a babyface for his entire NXT run, he’s also an ideal choice to lead a group of fan favourites against The Club in the long-run.

The leadership situation is interesting, too. When Balor left NJPW in April 2014, Styles inherited his position as Bullet Club’s leader. Perhaps there’s some jealousy from Balor, whose decade-long relationship with Anderson could see him return and usurp Styles from The Club.

Whatever happens, there are a myriad of possibilities on the table should WWE involve Balor in The Club’s story, and every one of them would involve Balor in a rich, engrossing story from the get-go.
