8 Reasons Why Kevin Owens Is A Terrible Heel

3. His Offence Is Too Crowd Pleasing

Some wrestlers have a cool moveset that makes them harder to boo. Rey Mysterio didn’t work for a second as a heel in WCW in part because his offence was so flashy and exciting. Owens doesn’t look like a guy who could deliver four-star matches, but he’s highly capable of it in due part to his killer moveset.

The Pop Up Powerbomb is one of the most satisfying finishing moves in the company. He delivers a devastating Frogsplash that would easily suffice as a finisher. He has his rolling senton that wows the crowd, and he has half-a-dozen other moves in his arsenal that are a lot cooler than the average wrestler in the company.

Owens is in a hard position, as he can’t really give away all of his moves, otherwise he’d just have to punch his way in every match for 15 minutes...which could be quite the gimmick! However, if he's truly trying to not get the fans on his side while beating up a babyface, he should probably tone down a couple of his bigger spots so he doesn't steal as much of their thunder.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
