8 Reasons WWE Survivor Series Was The Worst Show Of 2015

5. Rushed Matches

I'm not sure if there was an issue with the timing of the show or what, but a lot of these bouts felt extremely rushed. There were a few sequences in the Dean Ambrose/Kevin Owens match that felt out of place before they picked things back up at the end. The multi-man matches were mostly clusterf****s that felt thrown together with guys getting eliminated in much quicker fashion than they would have normally (although to be fair that's always been an issue that's plagued Survivor Series bouts). The real culprit of the night was the tournament final between Ambrose and Roman Reigns. This should have been an epic clash between two brothers that featured both men laying it all on the line in a hard-fought battle that came down to the wire. Instead what we got was a match that felt about 15 minutes shorter than it should have been, devoid of the near-falls and close calls that it deserved. For two men so intimately familiar with each other, it wasn't structured as such and the ending was so abrupt that you could hear the air being sucked out of the arena. Did they cut it short in an effort to make sure they had enough time for the confetti coronation and ensuing angle and cash-in, or was it just poorly put together? In hindsight they should have ran the entire tourney minus the finals on Raw and then promoted the show around the battle of best friends. It would have allowed them the time and spotlight the match called for.
