8 Reasons WWE Survivor Series Was The Worst Show Of 2015

4. Match Quality

In addition to many of the matches feeling rushed, there wasn't anything truly memorable on the card. Even the most uneventful or objectively bad WWE shows can usually be counted on for a few good-to-great bouts. The aforementioned Fastlane - as dismal as it was - still gave us the excellent Cesaro & Kidd vs. The Usos match, a very good Cena/Rusev clash and the impressive main event featuring Reigns taking on Daniel Bryan. There was nothing on this card with the quality of any of those three with the possible exception of Ambrose vs. Owens. If you're one for star ratings, there's arguably not one four star match to be found here, and that's surprising considering the consistently high quality of the ring work we see from WWE stars. The absence of workhorses like Rollins, Cesaro and Cena was clearly felt. If you're the type of fan who follows wrestling for the angles, you probably turned off this show feeling pretty bummed out. But if you're a hardcore purist who is all about the work rate, you're more than likely angry that you didn't spend your three hours elsewhere. If the stories are weak, the action in the ring has to carry the show, and that just didn't happen this time.
