8 Reasons You Need To Start Watching TNA Again

8. Bobby Lashley

You may be questioning my sanity right now, wondering how Bobby Lashley could possibly be a reason to watch Impact. After all, he was boring as all get-out in WWE, and was an obvious Brock rip-off without the personality. Somewhere along the way, Bobby found one, and he’s been excelling in his role as a dominant heel.

Part of what makes WWE so frustrating to watch, is that besides Brock, no heel is made to look dominant. Bray Wyatt talks a big game, but is easily beatable. Seth Rollins and Miz are sniveling cowards, Kevin Owens is portrayed as more of a joke these days, and nobody cares about Sheamus, Rusev or Alberto Del Rio due to how badly they’ve been booked over the years. Their best heel right now is Chris Jericho, and that's largely due to his humor.

Lashley, though, backs up his words in the ring. He’s booked to look incredibly strong by believably beating down his opponents. He still uses short-cuts, and surprise attacks to win, which makes him frustrating (in a good way), because he doesn’t need to.

His promos aren’t Rock-like entertaining, but they’re solid, and realistic. He’s improved in virtually every area, and has become one of the best heels in the business.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
