8 Released WWE Superstars Who Will (Ultimately) Be Better Off Elsewhere

While other released stars took to social media to express sorrow or offer thanks, EC3 was already working. Rechristening himself, “Essential Character III,” his Twitter feed sees a once muted superstar finding his voice.

His tweets are filled with hashtags like #freeEC3 and #ECmancipation and the repeated use of the phrase, “you have been warned.” He also used the platform to decline interviews and podcasts stating, “for the first time, in a long time... I control the narrative now.”

A brooding video sees “The One Percenter” challenge viewers to “Stop treading water, challenge yourself, damage yourself... find your purpose. I have and now I am everything you are not.” Meanwhile another, more light hearted clip shows EC3 working out while Drake Maverick croons along to A-Ha behind him.

It’s all a bit of a shift from his last, pre-release tweet, “So, #ZachSnydersJusticeLeague is supposed to actually be good? Is that why this is trending?”

Never the greatest in-ring worker but muscle bound and an excellent talker, the former Impact Champion was wasted in WWE. He looks set to use his creativity to write his own future.
