2. Dean Ambrose Returns

Dean Ambrose has been absent from WWE since December 2017, when he suffered a triceps injury. Since then, speculation has been rampant for his return. When he left, The Shield reunion was in full swing, but now Roman Reigns has been chasing down the Universal Championship and Seth Rollins has constantly stolen the spotlight as an iron man performer. Ambrose, however, is always a wildcard.

Many suggested he would be back in the ring in time for SummerSlam, but a recent report hints at a September return instead. The re-emergence of the Lunatic Fringe will be an adrenaline shot on Raw and he will immediately shake things up in the upper midcard. As a babyface, he will become one of the most over performers on the show and, as a heel, there's a tonne of potential for storylines right off the bat.

Ambrose is the injection of chaos that WWE really needs, having fallen into something of a creative rut. His unique and unpredictable character, as well as his wildman work between the ropes, is the kind of act for which absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder. If WWE does this right, Ambrose's return could make him the biggest star he has ever been.
