8 Talented Young Wrestlers Who Were Screwed By WCW's Demise

1. Sean O'Haire

Sean O'Haire was one of the most talented young guys in WCW at the time of WWE's purchase in 2001. He was 30 years old at the time, which isn't too young or too old in wrestling for a guy that had only begun wrestling in 2000. Due to the fact that he was 6'6" and 270 pounds he was somebody that was pegged as the next big thing. There were comparisons to Goldberg with him because if WCW stuck around he would have likely received the kind of build that Goldberg did. He wasn't just big either. He seemed to have a personality and the right kind of look there. It was just a matter of building him up as a star. He ended up working for WWE for nearly three years from 2001 to 2004 although he wasn't that successful there. His most high profile match was when he dropped the WCW Tag Titles with Chuck Palumbo to the Undertaker & Kane. Shortly after that the plan was for him to find some success on his own. His "I'm not telling you anything you don't already know" gimmick in 2003 was cool in that he was like a devil's advocate that was trying to get in people's heads. They paired him up with Roddy Piper as his mentor, but when Piper got fired that year it hurt O'Haire because he just wasn't skilled enough to make it work on his own. Sadly, O'Haire took his own life this past week. He had so much potential in wrestling. If WCW didn't die, he probably would have had every chance to succeed and perhaps his life would have taken a different path.
