8 Talents Who Left WWE For Greater Things

5. Diamond Dallas Page

Diamond Dallas Page was one of the few real homegrown talents to come from WCW, as most of its pushed talent were usually stolen from other promotions. In WCW, DDP held the World Heavyweight Championship three times, the TV title, four Tag-Team Championships, along with various other accomplishments. However, when DDP's contract was finally recieved by the WWF, his success didn't translate. After a prompt squashing at the hands of The Deadman, DDP was off to a mediocre start when he joined the WWF in 2001. After a lackluster first year, DDP was let go due to nagging injuries and his age in 2002. Diamond Dallas Page found non-wrestling success in the form of numerous workout books and DVD's he'd released. Later, these products became part of a cohesive fitness brand now known as DDP Yoga. DDP Yoga has been everywhere in recent years, with talk of it reaching various fitness forums, magazines and publications with many people claiming it has changed their lives for the better. Not only that, but DDP has also gone on to release two autobiographies and several self-help books as well as leading many seminars as a motivational speaker. As hard as he worked in the wrestling ring, there's no doubt DDP has earned the success he found later in life.
