The match itself involved all manner of plunder, but boy was it fun to watch. Dave Meltzer remarked on Twitter that this may well be the best weapons match of the year, and it is difficult to disagree when it comes to WWE. These nine men put their bodies through all sorts of agony, with plenty of memorable spots and the right outcome to boot.

As mentioned previously, the match kicked into another gear when The Authors of Pain entered the bout and threw everyone and everything to kingdom come. Somehow, another gear was found when the rest of SAnitY arrived, with Killian Dain in particular looking like a true superstar.

The match wasn’t perfect, but the 36 minutes and 37 seconds positively flew by. Nine combatants meant a number of individuals felt like passengers (Bobby Fish was particularly anonymous), but expecting nine men to stick out in a chaotic setting like this is naive. The return of WarGames will be remembered for all the right reasons.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
