8 Things That Could Tempt CM Punk To Make WWE Return
6. Offer Him A Reduced Schedule
Even if Punk hadn't left WWE two years ago, by now he would surely be working a lighter schedule. The likes of Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar have proven that they can still make sizeable contributions, even with a reduced number of dates. If Punk re-signed with the promotion he could be another beneficiary of a reduced workload.
While the fans would obviously be disappointed not to see him every week, he would show up for each of his respective runs refreshed, revitalised and with a renewed buzz. No more would he have to run his body into the ground just to keep relevant on television for every Raw and SmackDown, and no more would he have to defend a championship whilst constantly hurting and desperately needing time off for surgery.
A properly rested CM Punk would no doubt wrestle better matches, cut more exciting promos and - most importantly of all - would show up to work happy and in a good state of mind, something that quite clearly wasn't the case towards the last days of his previous stint.
Again, there’s an element of irony here because of how vocal he’s been previously about having to do jobs for those on such a schedule. Still, it’s something that realistically has to be considered when taking into account his age and his previous health issues.
