8 Things That Must Happen At WWE Battleground 2017

3. New Number One Contender: Becky Lynch

One of the least exciting matches on this Sunday's card is surely the five-way women's match for number one contendership status. Shane McMahon's booking of the bout seemed throwaway and lazy, as Naomi asked him who her next challenger would be, only for each opponent to conveniently wander into shot at roughly the same time.

The obvious contender initially seems to be Lana, given her recent alliance with Tamina - but the Ravishing Russian has already been soundly beaten by the current champion on several occasions.

Instead, WWE would do well to put Becky Lynch over here, perhaps having her overcome both Lana and Tamina to really emphasise her position as a brave babyface.

This would lead to a respectful face vs. face encounter for the title, during which we could see Becky's frustrations continue to grow. She seems the least likely of any woman in WWE to turn heel right now (excluding Bayley), which arguably makes her the perfect candidate...
