6. How Long Did It Take Him To Develop The Right Attitude?

In regards to possessing the correct attitude, Sam wants to know how long it took AJ himself to acquire the right outlook and how long it took him to wrap his head around the fact the it wasn't always going to be about him leaving the night as the number one guy.

Styles admits he was probably in his thirties before he got there, and credits Terry Taylor as someone who had a talk with him and helped him realize it. The longtime veteran and behind-the-scenes agent sat him down and told him that "even though you might be in this match, it isn't all about you, it's about the story. Do your job, that's all we need you to do. We don't want you to go out there and kill yourself, but do your job."

AJ adds that you can't take it personal and have to realize that you're not always going to be in the top storyline. He says it's not always a bad thing once you come to that realization and says it also brings with it a little less pressure.
