8 Things We Learned From Brock Lesnar's Revealing ESPN Interview
4. How He Feels About Being A Babyface
When fans turned on Roman Reigns following his victory at this year's Royal Rumble, they started rooting for Brock Lesnar instead. By the time WrestleMania rolled around, he had the majority of the crowd on his side (despite being a heel) and his actions the following night on Raw and months later when he returned to take on Seth Rollins cemented him as a firm fan-favourite and resulted in an unexpected babyface turn. Asked about this sudden shift in support, Lesnar explained that being a heel is what comes naturally to him as a performer. However, he acknowledged the fact that without the fans he would have nothing and is more than happy if they choose to cheer him out of the building every time he appears. Talk then inevitably turned to the response he got in his home town of Minnesota this past Monday. For someone who has in the past done such a great job of playing a despicable heel, Brock seemed overwhelmingly happy to have gotten such a reception from those in attendance and described it as a fantastic experience. That's understandable seeing as it's been years since he was cheered by WWE fans! As for the difference between competing in the octagon and squared circle, Brock was quick to point out that while WrestleMania is definitely a bigger spectacle than UFC 100, it doesn't matter how many people he's in front of because he loves how he can absorb the feel of the crowd in WWE. UFC was different because he was focused solely on his opponent, and it definitely sounds like he enjoys the WWE experience a lot more.
