The concept behind the Royal Rumble is his, and he's been the booking agent for countless classics. Shawn credits him as being the guy who got the Rockers their jobs back, continually pressing Vince to give them another shot, who would always reply "No. Those Rockers are dead to me." Eventually McMahon relented under the condition that they remain Pat's responsibility.
