It's no great secret that All Elite Wrestling's sudden importance owes a huge deal to the deep, deep pockets of Tony Khan's father, Shahid Khan. The billionaire businessmen, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC, has handed over all his credit card details as he bankrolls his son's passion project.

The younger Khan re-affirmed that AEW's patron has a very hands-off role in the company - but that doesn't mean he isn't interested. Tony spoke lovingly about his father, who he described as being "super close" to, and revealed that he personally attended Double or Nothing. Not only that, but Shahid took the time to speak to Cody ahead of his match with Dustin, giving him words of encouragement that apparently loosened the performer right up.

Though Shahid isn't a huge wrestling fan himself, he has nothing but support for his son. As great as Double or Nothing was, Tony said his father's presence was one of the best things about it.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
