7. Goldberg
Goldberg may hold the record for having his name chanted after the longest period of inactivity in the wrestling business, but WWE fans are not chanting his name because they want to see him back. The Goldberg chants started up as a response to the character Ryback, who many fans felt had ripped off many of Goldberg's characteristics. Ryback was getting over for a little while, with crowds screaming "Feed me more" every time he lined up for his Meat Hook clothesline, but soon he began showing his weaknesses in the ring and the fans turned on him just as fast as they got behind him. We do not hear Goldberg's name chanted at Ryback nearly as much as we used to, but it is still expected every time he gets in the ring. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-cZjwtTdrY Ryback even responded to the chants by using a few of Goldberg's signature moves during some of his matches, but it didn't get him any more admirers. There is value in a character like Ryback that many fans will overlook, but until he stops being compared to a guy who hasn't even been inside a WWE ring in over 10 years, he won't get very far.
