8 Things WWE Got Wrong At TLC 2017

2. Monster Vs. Demon

Kane Braun Strowman

The heel team eventually imploded, when Kane accidentally smashed Braun Strowman with a steel chair. This didn’t exactly please Strowman, and the two behemoths soon came to blows. Kane’s night ended soon after Ambrose and Rollins tackled him through the barricade, but by then Strowman had already been compacted into a neat, manageable pile (more on that shortly).

It seems as though Kane and Braun Strowman are destined to work a program together moving forward. Does that involve Braun turning face, or is Kane turning for the 4383583485th time in his career? The heels ganging up on Strowman suggests the former. Strowman has been a revelation in 2017, but a surefire way to stop that momentum is a knuckle-dragging program with the Big Red Mayor, Kane.

Kane’s role in this match should have been to make the younger stars look great and eat the pin. Instead, we come out of the TLC main event with Kane looking stronger than the rest of the combatants, and a potential program with an equally giant man to look forward to. This should have been a one-shot deal for the veteran - not a new beginning.
