8 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Bubba Ray Dudley

1. Violence Against Women

Men attacking women is something that WWE prohibits these days. Ever since the PG rating was put in place in 2008, they have really cut back on things like that. In the Attitude Era when the Dudleys were doing their thing, the women mixed it up with the men and it wasn't always pretty. During the Dudleys initial run in 2000, they had a fondness for tables. The memorable spot would see Bubba shoving D-Von and then telling him to get the tables. It was a heel move at the start, but the fans would pop for it, so it turned them face. Since WWE is booked by perverted men (sorry Vince but it's true), they couldn't help it when they started having Bubba powerbomb women through the table as a way to say they got wood. It was a weird way to put over the idea that Bubba was turned on by doing this act. He would put them through the table, then stare blankly ahead like he was in some trance. http://youtu.be/pTmdiF0johw Here's a list of women that they put through a table: Terri Runnels, Lita, Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, Stacy Keibler, Jazz, nurse B.B., Tori and Mae Young once again in one of the more memorable spots in Bubba's career. To Bubba's credit, he became very good at the spot and usually protected the women well. The spot with Mae was especially memorable when he did it off the stage on Raw and put her through the table below. He's told the story in the past about how she didn't want him to go light with her. She wanted him to really drive her through it, so that's what he did. Mae was incredibly tough for an elderly lady at the time. This is just one of those things where WWE doesn't want the fans to really remember it because men attacking women is something they obviously shy away from these days.
