Before becoming Apollo Crews in NXT, the man was known as Uhaa Nation on the independent scene. His real name is Sesugh Uhaa, and I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce that first name. That does explain the Uhaa part, but what about the Nation? Well, he's a pretty strong dude, as you can see. It was during high school that the name came about, as his weights coach claimed that he was as strong as a nation. A Uhaa Nation, if you will. Every time I hear a story of how a wrestler got his name, a smile manages to break out across my face.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
