Crews truly got into sports during high school, and surprisingly enough it was football (as in football, not American football) that grabbed his talents first. Crews also played American football and took part in various track and field events. It wasn't just any old type of high school, however. Crews attended a military high school, and by his own admission the various sports he took part in gave him a way of avoiding the military life. I'm no expert, but military high schools sound pretty darn intense, with the usual trappings of high school education on top of the early morning physical drills and obsession with rank. No thank you, no sir. Anyway, on the subject of football...
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
