8 Times Brock Lesnar Disrespected WWE

6. He Complained About Having To Work Hardcore Holly In 2004

As a hard-nosed WWE veteran, Bob Holly demanded respect. A long-serving superstar who had been through it all with the company, from the lean years of the mid-90s to the halcyon days of the Attitude Er,. Holly was a guy who either got respect or he beat it out of you. If Lesnar's 2011 autobiography Death Clutch is anything to go by, he clearly didn't have much respect for Holly. Although Lesnar claimed to have liked Bob, calling him a good guy who 'takes his s*** seriously', Lesnar conceded that he did not want to work with him in early 2004 and actually found it to be a waste of his time and energy. Holly and Lesnar had a brief feud stemming from the incident where Brock accidentally dropped Holly on his head and broke his neck in 2002. Unfortunately their conflict was a disappointment, culminating in a five minute match at the 2004 Royal Rumble. Still, there were house shows to do and Lesnar was booked against Holly on the company's mini tour of South Africa in February 04. Lesnar said:
Now I have to travel all the way to South Africa to work with Bob Holly? Could anyone please tellme why? I knew no one would pay to see that match. Since I€™m not really needed, give me some time off. I really needed the break by this time, but John Laurinaitis told me how much I€™m needed on the card. AGAINST BOB HOLLY? Are you sh***ing me?
While Lesnar might not have been happy about working with Holly, he should have at least shown him (and the company) proper respect by going there and doing a job for which he was highly-paid, not by complaining about it.
