Poor Kane. The guy is just about set to hang up his wrestling boots for good in the aid of pursuing his political ambitions and it seems he will bow out without having had a truly great match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

For all his talent, the Big Red Machine just seems to forever be in the wrong spot at the wrong time, which in 2012 was a nothing bout opposite Randy Orton in the second match of WrestleMania XXVIII.

Though they were given a solid 10 minutes together in the ring, they never really managed to provoke any reaction from the crowd, a consequence of working a methodical style that ran counter to what the Show of Shows typically demands.

Perhaps the worst part about it was that Kane pulled off a surprise clean win, only to be sidelined almost immediately in subsequent episodes of Raw. It was as though WWE officials were merely trying to punish Orton, and cared not a bit about who his conqueror might be.
