The Streak was one of WrestleMania's top attractions for years. Even though fans rarely expected The Undertaker to take a loss, they still flocked to arenas to see what big-name competitor dared to challenge ‘The Deadman.' Leading up to WrestleMania XX, what main-eventer would step up to ‘The Phenom’?

Shane McMahon, that’s who.

McMahon returned to make Raw better (ironic, no?), but his father stood in the way. It was agreed that if Shane won against ‘Taker at ‘Mania, he would obtain control of Monday nights.

The storyline going into the match was dreadful. Vince and Shane had a father-son argument, and 'Taker was treated as a Vince henchman for unknown reasons.

Naturally, McMahon lost. And also naturally, he showed up unscathed the next night to end up getting a show despite the match's stipulation. The feud made 'The Phenom' look like a mere pawn, and the Hell in a Cell match ended up being a snoozefest aside from the high spot onto the announce table.

Undertaker disappeared, and soon did McMahon. Only, Shane waited until he outstayed his welcome and got some of that go-away heat from the fans.
