8 Times Stephanie McMahon Actively Damaged Women In WWE

5. Talking Down The Competition

It remains one of her cruellest moments ever on television, and yet she was ostensibly out there as a babyface. Another exercise in just how f*cking tone-deaf she is to the product she allegedly contributes to.

Stephanie McMahon's verbal evisceration of Divas Champion AJ Lee was one of the most pathetic power plays in her rich history of them. The heel titleholder was extolling her own virtues following a victory over former Champion Kaitlyn a night earlier, stressing that nobody backstage could touch her.

It was all McMahon needed. Marching to the ring to get in the face of the champion for a promo battle never intended to have a wrestling match to pay it off. In her own mind, Stephanie is in the fan consciousness 24/7, and thus couldn't possibly be slighted by another woman on the show just on the off chance her fragile ego took even the tiniest knock.

Towering over Lee, she tore into her and threatened to sack her should she dare step to old 'Lady Balls' herself. It was a pathetic shot across the bow, and she still had a cannonball left.

The tête-à-tête was interrupted by babyface Kaitlyn, keen to seek revenge on her storyline foe. Stephanie stormed to the ramp and got in her face for having the gaul to interrupt.
