8 Times Triple H Thought WWE Royal Rumble SUCKED

6. Injuries Cost Him A Spot

Trips' big moment in the '98 Rumble came when he gingerly walked out with crutches and belted Owen Hart with one. That was it. A knee injury suffered in late-1997 robbed him of a pay-per-view payday (he would've been part of the 30-man match had he been healthy).

Anyone who has followed Hunter's career knows that he likes to put a shift in. Lengthy matches are kinda what 'The Game' does, so it wouldn't have been satisfying at all for the dude to have such a naff cameo role on one of the biggest cards of the entire year.

Fans in San Jose barely registered his 'Mania-match-building spot with Owen, presumably because Jeff Jarrett had already attacked the 'Black Hart' earlier in the night. Triple H also bizarrely followed the Honky Tonk Man through the curtain for the legend's surprise guest spot - he didn't even get his own music.

'He's got long blonde hair, and he needs a crutch. He's in DX, but he ain't over much!'.
