Before coming to AEW, Thekla was in the middle of a heel run in Stardom that wasn't being received as well as she'd hoped. She arrived on an episode of Dynamite in May 2025 as a relative unknown quantity and attacked Jamie Hayter, establishing herself as a major player instantly.
Since that assault, Thekla has gone from strength to strength. Her playboy personality, dripping in alcoholism and a penchant for strippers, is a breath of fresh air for women's wrestling. The diminutive and dangerous Austrian has elevated the profiles of both Julia Hart and Skye Blue, making the Triangle of Madness one of the most enjoyable factions in wrestling.
More than all of this, it's impressive that she has broken through the main event glass ceiling in AEW. Thekla enjoyed a magnificent run as AEW Women's Champion and is now considered a star on the same level as established performers like Mercedes Mone, Willow Nightingale, and 'Timeless' Toni Storm.
