8 Times Wrestlers Were Rejected In Their Hometowns

6. Ronda Rousey (Survivor Series 2018)

'The Baddest Woman on the Planet' had a rather rough night back at Survivor Series 2018.

After being legitimately bruised, cut open, and just generally brutalised by Charlotte Flair in the pair's vicious battle, a beat up Ronda Rousey was then punished even more by those watching on inside of the Staples Center.

Despite being on the receiving end of a kendo stick beatdown and putting her body on the line for the fans crammed inside of the Los Angeles arena, chants for Becky Lynch and of "You Deserve It!" left Rousey looking completely bewildered in the aftermath.

And if that wasn't painful enough for the one-time UFC Bantamweight Champion, all this was going down in her own backyard, with Rousey hailing from Santa Monica and likely expecting a hero's reception in her hometown venue.

Thankfully, WWE eventually opted to lean into the negative reactions that were becoming increasingly more common in arenas around the country, and Ronda would ultimately take on the role of heel in her eventual WrestleMania 35 main event feud with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

But it was still clear that Rousey was very much upset by this painful rejection from her hometown crowd, and will likely never forget the night L.A. turned its back on her.
