8 Times WWE's Triple H Was A GOD-TIER Booker

7. Cody Finishes His Story

It's nigh on impossible to please everybody in the wrestling community, but the ending of WrestleMania 40 is one of the closest things we'll ever get to achieving just that. Roman Reigns' title reign was one of the best in WWE history, and Cody Rhodes was the perfect candidate to take his WWE Championship, but Triple H's booking from the Royal Rumble 2024 to his victory at Lincoln Financial Field had some phenomenal creative.

This stunning climax didn't come without its difficult moments along the way. When plans deviated from Cody finishing his story to The Rock taking his spot in WrestleMania's main event, people were justifiably furious. Having to convince The Rock, one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors who is on the board of his employers, to do what's best for business had to take Jedi levels of negotiating from Triple H.

He managed to correct this mistake and book what is arguably the best ending in WrestleMania history. A 2-night story that involved Roman's past with The Shield, his Bloodline, a victory for The Rock (naturally), appearances from The Undertaker and John Cena, and culminating in Cody Rhodes giving fans the feel-good ending that WrestleMania strives for every year, was a herculean achievement and the jewel in his crown to date.
