... Remember when Bob Backlund returned to try and get Darren Young over?

Sadly, the pairing was doomed from the start. Backlund's campaign to "Make Darren Young Great Again" was hamstrung by near total crowd apathy towards the gimmick, largely because even the most credulous WWE fan could see that Darren Young had never been capital-G "Great" to begin with.

One act that did get over, however, was the Bunny.

Back in 2014, playboy Adam Rose was engaged in a mini-feud with a bloke in a bunny suit. Such was the state of the WWE at the time, the Bunny was actually one of the most over acts in the company. This lead to speculation as to who could be wearing the floppy-eared costume.

Darren Young was, at one point, the favourite to be the man behind the lagomorph, but it was not to be as WWE Creative gave up on the idea and let it fizzle out without resolution.

Or did they?
