8 Upcoming Dwayne Johnson Movies You Need To Know About

2. Central Intelligence (2016)

Another buddy comedy here, this time partnering Johnson with Kevin Hart. Johnson plays a contract killer who forces Hart's nerdy accountant to help him with a government job. Dodgeball's Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing, so expect laughs to prevail over thrills (although a mix would be nice). Central Intelligence is out in less than a year and should be moving into post-production shortly. It's set for a prime summer release, and has a pretty fantastic comedy cast. Aside from Johnson and Hart, it's also got Aaron Paul, Amy Ryan and Ed Helms on-board, so it's arriving with pedigree. Personally the Efron/Johnson combo in Baywatch does more for me than pairing him with Hart, but I like the sound of the project's concept, so with a strong script this could still be very good. It's nice to know Johnson keeps his comedy muscles as well exercised as those biceps anyway. Central Intelligence releases in the US on 16th June 2016 and a few weeks later in the UK on 1st July.
