I'm a firm believer in saving the best until last, which is surely what Furious 8 represents to Dwayne Johnson fans. The eighth in the franchise and the fourth to star Johnson, Furious 8 would be picking up after Fast 7, a film that collected a massive $1.4 billion at the international box-office. Granted, not all of that appeal comes courtesy of Johnson, but it must be remarked the series only really began to rev toward its current financial standing when he joined in 2011's Fast Five. Johnson would reprise the role of Hobbs, in a sequel likely to maintain the ensemble nature of past entries. It's currently without a director, but given the insane money banked by Fast 7, that'll probably be rectified before 2015's end. With the directorial gig comes a lot of expectation, but Johnson and Vin Diesel are definitely confirmed, so at least the lucky film-maker will have serious star power to work with. Furious 8 is set for release 14th April 2017.
