8 Ups & 0 Downs From Impact Wrestling Emergence 2020 (Part 1)

4. The OG Elite

Since returning to his old home at Slammiversary, Eric Young hasn't wasted a single second in reminding just about everyone how dangerous he can truly be, which was easily forgotten throughout his entire WWE career. How can anyone take him seriously when he's being demolished by The Miz, which was only to build towards a match between 'The A-Lister' and Shane goddamn McMahon?!

'The World Class Maniac', who has one of the most gripping voices in wrestling right now by the way, said all the right things this week. He truly has done it all within Impact Wrestling - he's been part of Team Canada, he's donned the cape and mask as Super Eric, he's took part in stripteases, he's had an underwear wedding with ODB, and he's won the World Championship. Now though, he's doing what he should have done from day one of his 20-year career. Perhaps the greatest line of all, though, was when he stated he was elite before being elite was cool, referring to his time in World Elite.

Eric Young very easily could have been something truly amazing in WWE, but sadly, he was never utilised to his full potential. In his four years within the company, two of those being on the black and gold brand, he did nothing of not aside from capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships with Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain.

If tearing apart Rich Swann's ankle is the way to do it, then so be it.
