Rohit Raju is the new X Division Champion. A sentence your writer thought he'd never have the opportunity to type.

'The Desi Hitman' captured the title by defeating TJP and defending champion, and apparent best mate, Chris Bey in the night's opening encounter, showing his true colours towards 'The Ultimate Finesser' at the conclusion of the bout. Raju assisted Bey for the duration of the match, with the pair both evading submission victories for TJP, who had seemingly adopted Chris Jericho's list of 1,004 holds for Emergence.

A double stomp to Bey ended his reign at a mere month, with the former Desi Hit Squad opting to drop 'The Finesse Division Champion' on his neck as he was hung in the ropes as opposed to flattening TJP. Of course, it was clear Raju and Bey were never truly allies, with Rohit simply getting into Bey's good books to edge closer to the X Division Championship.

While it did come as quite the surprise, considering Bey's reign only began at Slammiversary, you won't be seeing any disappointment about Rohit's crowning moment in this column. Impact Wrestling have finally gotten something right with Raju. It only took several months.
