Dynamite, in a very un-Dynamite move, opened with a multi-person in-ring promo segment last night. That AEW hasn't run such things into the ground over the course of several years makes such things tenable here, particularly when the quality is high and the segment has a purpose.

Which was the case here.

Chris Jericho wanted Daniel Garcia to apologise for putting his hands on him last week, which came when Garcia responded positively to Bryan Danielson's show of respect after their main event. A wrestler vs. sports entertainer narrative unfolded. Garcia told his stablemate that the issue's root was Jericho ruining a moment he'd been dreaming of his entire life, having just shared the ring with his childhood hero, while Chris grew increasingly agitated not only at his protege, but also the "you're a wrestler" chants coming from the crowd.

Garcia wouldn't apologise for what happened. When he tried to turn away, Jericho grabbed out at him. Cue: 'Red Death' shoving his mentor to the floor.

This was all to book Jericho vs. Danielson for All Out. Bryan attacked Jericho's false claims at being the last survivor of the Hart Dungeon ahead of 'Lionheart' vs. the 'American Dragon', with Garcia's loyalty still very much in question.
