8 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 22)

5. Squash Match Season

Andrade Almas Jobber

Andrade 'Cien' Almas' jobber-squashing tour continued last night, and it was just as effective the previous week, as the former NXT Champion faced off against a lanky enhancement talent in sky blue tights. Let's say his name was Tony Bone.

This week's beatdown had a vicious undercurrent. Almas started off by laughing in poor old Tony's face, before smacking him down, and cutting a futile comeback off with a spinning back elbow. From there, Andrade smashed T-Bone with his running knees to the corner, then an unnecessary (but suitably d***ish) repeat, before putting him away with the Hammerlock DDT.

WWE will need to flip the format before long, but for now, these squashes work for Almas. They don't seem to have a specific storyline in mind for him at the moment, and require a way to keep him on television. What better way to do that than by flattening the Tony Bones of the world?
