8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Nov 19)

4. Justin Roberts Rediscovers His Passion

Cody Justin Roberts
AEW

Cody's from Undesirable to Undeniable segment got back on track after a wonky Jimmy Havoc interview a few weeks ago, as 'The American Nightmare' welcomed ring announcer Justin Roberts up to the bleachers.

Having been put over as "one of the greatest announcers ever," and a man instrumental in helping Brandi Rhodes learn the ropes, Roberts claimed that his undesirable moment came when he was released from WWE in October 2014. He'd lost all he'd ever loved and all he'd ever known. Now, suddenly, he had to find something else, he had to find a new passion, so he did television, movies, voiceover work, and toured with Tool, only to find Being The Elite, fall in love with the characters, and rediscover his passion.

His definition of undeniable? Going out there and seeing that people not only remember him, but recognise what he brings to the table. He was passionate about wrestling, that's why he came back, and that's why he's in AEW.

Again, this segments succeeds by showcasing a personality to a level impossible in their current role. It's a great little snippet into the lives and mindsets of AEW's unsung heroes (and MJF).
