8 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (22 April)

2. From Jobber To Pay-Per-View

Jordynne Grace and Kiera Hogan had a cracking contest for what it’s worth, even if it was cut short by Tasha Steelz’ relatively quick interference. Still, a great match made all that better by its aftermath.

Proceedings started immediately with Jordynne ramming Kiera into the turnbuckles from the moment the bell sounded. The match progressed as it began; Jordynne’s Spinebuster and torture rack were met with Kiera’s stiff superkick and grounded Helluva Kick. A Muscle Buster from Grace saw Tasha break up the attempted pinfall, causing a disqualification win for ‘Thicc Mama Pump’.

Post-match, Fire N Flava laid the boots to the former Knockouts Champion, before she was saved by the debuting Rachael Ellering. The second-generation star looked like a genuine star alongside Jordynne, with the Ellering daughter being confirmed as Grace’s tag partner for Sunday’s pay-per-view.

This’ll be a good match for certain. A shame the announcement came at the expense of a genuinely cracking singles bout between Jordynne and Kiera, though – Tasha’s intervention could have come a few minutes later and still have provided the same effect.
